2nd Workshop on Awareness and Reflection in Technology-Enhanced Learning (ARTEL2012) - 18th September 2012, Saarbrucken (Germany)
The ARTEL workshop, to be held in conjunction with EC-TEL 2012, is a direct follow-up to last year's ECTEL workshops "Awareness and Reflection in Learning Networks" and "Augmenting the Learning Experience with Collaborative Reflection".
The objective of this workshop is i) to provide a forum for presenting and discussing research on awareness and reflection in TEL and ii) to provide an interactive experience that connects participants' research, the co-organizing projects' latest proto-types and models with real end users' learning experiences and needs regarding reflection technology.
ARTEL2012 is co-organised by a cluster of European TEL related projects, including ImREAL.

Workshop at 10th International Semantic Web Conference 2011 - Detection, Representation, and Exploitation of Events in the Semantic Web, Bonn - Germany, October 23rd
In this workshop, Delft University of Technology will present the paper on Domain-aware Matching of Events to DBpedia, which is related to ImREAL because it studies Ontology Alignment and data integration problems that also play a big role in the project.

Workshop at EC-TEL 2011 – ‘Augmenting the Learning Experience with Collaborative Reflection’
In collaboration with the MIRROR project, ImREAL organizes the workshop on ‘Augmenting the Learning Experience with Collaborative Reflection’, within the EC-TEL 2011, to be held in Palermo (Italy), September 20th to 23rd.
The whole day workshop will be divided in a morning session - dedicated to facilitating knowledge exchange among researchers interested in collaborative reflection, and an afternoon session - a set of interactive activities, from interacting with a simulation, to discussion, to using creative techniques for participatory design around the augmentation of the training experience.

Workshop at SIGDOC 2011 – ‘Augmenting the Learning Experience with Virtual Simulation Systems’
The half day workshop - to be held at SIGDOC 2011 in Pisa, Italy on October 3rd-5th - introduces all participants in a very interactive way into the activities of the ImREAL FP7 project which wants to augment the learning experience with the use of highly adaptive simulators. Real world activities will be integrated with the simulation environment by means of intelligent semantic services and a novel approach to digital and interactive storytelling. Researchers as well as practitioners are invited to interact with the simulation under development, discuss and participate to the definition of potential further development.
